I haven't found a decent implementation of being notified when an artist they follow releases something new. This is a real shortcoming compared to legacy platforms. (That, and new music discovery). When an artist receives a boost it's generally a one-way transaction because the only identifier is a lnurl. Some apps can generate a nostr note automatically when you boost, which is great promotion, by it also links the booster npub. What's missing is notifying the artist. Tagging the artist in the note would give them the opportunity to say thanks and interact directly. You can include npub in the RSS feed (MSP2.0 has this option) but I don't think apps are using it yet.
