Kinda made me feel like I wasn't crazy for pursuing passions over income when everything/everyone in the rat race world was telling me to do the inverse. It made life extremely difficult & hardened me in a lot of ways. 🥹 I won in the end though because I have always turned my creative passions into multiple successful career paths; kinda like Howard Roarke in Any Rand's The Fountainhead (another fav book of mine). I always felt like an outsider that did not fit into society, but it was comforting to realize that it wasn't me that was broken; it was the society itself that was blinded & broken. 💁‍♂️ Those impulses you felt are an intentionally imposed/conditioned behavior. Like, what is the point of saving when your experiences tell you that you will get less later on?
