The range of the mesh is absolutely fucking useless so they added internet chat so you don't uninstall immediately. The gimmick mesh with useless range means you must keep precise location enabled at all times. This isn't just coordinates but also the ability to log every bluetooth device nearby you. The major news media keeps writing articles about how downloads of it spike after the internet is shut off in a country.
