By definition, the word &#34;solo&#34; comes into play here - solo meaning &#34;by oneself&#34;.&#xA;&#xA;With Public-Pool.io, this is someone&#39;s own setup of their node and their own instance of public-pool running and we all connect to it out of convenience. On this, the chap who manages public-pool.io  is the only one truly solo mining here as &#34;he is in control&#34; and we are not truly solo mining as we are connecting to someone else&#39;s server / solo pool, thus eroding the &#34;solo&#34; aspect. &#xA;&#xA;Technically speaking, us connecting to solo-pool.io is no different than one running their own instance of public pool and connecting to it.&#xA;&#xA;From a philosophical stand point, we aren&#39;t truly solo mining by doing this as we are connecting to something we are not in control of.&#xA;&#xA;I feel your point is more of a philosophical one rather than a technical one.&#34;</html></oembed>
