This morning I cleaned all the gutters because rain was forecast. So far today, 4mm has dropped which is the most we've had in nearly 6 months. 500m² of roof area means we capture 500L for every 1mm of rain. The dam will recover significantly and be a large store of water for our gardens and animals. The vast majority of grass roots are still in tact, so much of our pasture should green up again with some consistent rain, which will keep our animals fed.
