The angle that I haven&#39;t seen brought up as much: the PSF&#39;s actions and endorsements have real power that extend beyond the PSF itself. Community organizers throw around the question &#34;what does PyCon US do?&#34; *a lot* when they have decisions to make. A PSF Fellowship is a pretty strong signal that someone would be a great addition to a Python community (of which there are many).</html></oembed>
