Nothing against women that&#39;s just how it is , women scare easier so horror movies are for them. I can&#39;t really think of another horror movie that unnerved me other than the shining and this is only really because stanley kubrick was a genuis filmmaker and nothing to do with the shit that stephen king writes, i love that he changed his book so much and made king mad. Anyway i&#39;ll ignore that time period rule you provided and give you an older movie, solaris [youtube.com/watch?v=Z8ZhQPaw4rE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8ZhQPaw4rE ) is a good movie, its sci fi its not technically in the horror genre but its unnerving in that the creepiness of a foreign mental parasite invading one&#39;s brain and using your deepest desires against you is weird, something pretending to be your friend and making you feel comfortable etc. Its another movie based on a book. Both the 1950s and 70s invasion of the body snatchers movies are good and they also freaked me out a bit too, but other than these 4 movies, solaris, both invasion movies, &amp; the shining there aren&#39;t any horror movies that affect me.</html></oembed>
