I really wish them the best in their efforts. I think fountain required an app, and I listen on desktop, so not ideal for me. I also much prefer video content, which I don't recall fountain supporting on desktop last I checked. But yeah, really interesting how Ian (likely) has built up a legend around several often-repeated catchphrases. I like the idea of the concept, using a basic web of trust model for an algo. The whole advert marketplace? Good luck with that, I suppose we'd have to see how it plays out in the wild. Also, what is to stop me from just using another nostr client that doesn't ask me to watch ads? I guess it depends how much of this is really running on nostr.
