I grew up Catholic, then had an edgy teenager phase where I was a materialist world view atheist for a while. That ended around the time I realized modern atheism was itself a secular religion. Currently still struggling with my faith, but over the years I’ve come to conclude that Christianity and its precept of redemption is an extremely important pillar of American life. One nation.
