So what can I actually do? I can throw a link, and a very short description. The closest web which is somewhat usable when onboarding someone is https://nostrapps.com The site is TOTALLY FUCKING UNREADABLE for a person who knows nothing about Nostr. Even technical people have a problem understanding what is what. Then there is https://nstart.me/ which is USELESS, because people -> STILL DON'T KNOW <- which app to use. And I'm talking about people who have some tech knowledge. Now imagine Roxy, Dave from HR and Caroline the singer, who has exactly zero in common with any IT stuff. They won't even know, that there are some apps. There is no starting point to "auto-onboard" someone on Nostr. None. The easiest path I have found to do it, is to push Amethyst down the throat against someones will. Forget Gossip, forget Nostrmo and probaly 31337 other apps for which you need at least a phd in advanced magic to use them. Another thing is: there is no indication which apps are for which systems - it's like hitting a fly being blind - you may or may not get an app which runs on your system. And yes, you can TEST ALL THE APPS and choose the right one for you - but this is not an easy task. So what I would propose, is: - A website, designed from the user point of view, divided by operating system first, then main social apps pushed to the front WITH DESCRIPTIONS. And that's it. Don't flood their brains because overheat warning is already close. A description what nostr is would also be useful, BUT BOTH, a simple and an info dumping version when someone taps "more info". What am I supposed to give someone right now? nostrapps.com? I will only get back a question "what is that", literally.
