Do they have a place where they share updates? For example, on #DMA, what is concretely happening with #whatsapp? When can I expect to communicate with a #whatsapp user from #matrix? When do we get a non #webkit #browser on #iOS? I know those things happen outside of the institutions, but I have the feeling that tech giants push back so much, that it almost is a lost cause (slooow progress, no results?). Isn't the only option to stay fully away from those giants?
