Brushing it off and directing people to a website, or having people who are heavily funded, or part of the inner circle of those in question, doesn’t alleviate concerns. VCs and non profits are necessary, of course, but you don’t see the potential for a conflict of interest when a member of a board, is also a VC funding a competitor to those getting grants? Or at the very least, competitors to the VC funded clients self censoring, to keep the lights on and receive grants?
