I am working on a small project which basically allows anyone to launch a Nostr relay by just choosing a name. The rest is automated: - Create new subdomain using cloudflare API - Get SSL certificate and create proxy route - Spawn docker container with relay The idea behind it is that people could start their own relay for specific topics, or by language, by country/region etc and then grow sub-communities. Over time maybe those relays could have options to be private or paid etc. BUT apart from some technical difficulties (does it make sense to run multiple relays on the same machine?) I also have questions if this concept even makes sense… What do you think? Would it make sense to have relays by topic or is there a smarter way to do this on protocol level?
