Fuck that, it&#39;s not fun having people&#39;s fates in your hand like that, you shouldn&#39;t think it is. People will always disagree on what criminal deserves a comfy cell and what one deserves death. The wise solution is to make the system blind to all that, with no hellhole or death penalty for anyone.&#xA;&#xA;But the indigenous people in Australia want the death penalty for a guy that allegedly raped and murdered a 5 year old, not because they think it&#39;s fun to have people&#39;s fates in their hands, but because they&#39;re tired of their own fates being in the hands of courtroom people. They have their own traditions of justice they can probably follow, without it devolving into conflict and nonsense, if it weren&#39;t for the courtroom people interfering.&#xA;&#xA;I&#39;m against courtroom people pretending to be better than indigenous people, more than I&#39;m against the death penalty, at least sometimes.</html></oembed>
