<oembed><type>rich</type><version>1.0</version><title>DrJeff wrote</title><author_name>DrJeff (npub1k7…3c04l)</author_name><author_url>https://yabu.me/npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l</author_url><provider_name>njump</provider_name><provider_url>https://yabu.me</provider_url><html>I can&#39;t tell you how happy it makes me to see a growing number of physicians breaking free from the (broken) traditional healthcare system and focusing on the simple, yet massive benefits of proper nutrition.&#xA;&#xA;Most of them share a similar story to me of personal and professional trial and error, frustration, and even outrage at being deceived (read: &#34;manipulated&#34;) by Big Pharma- and Big Ag-sponsored nutritional studies and proponents as a part of our medical school, residency, and fellowship curricula.&#xA;&#xA;The outrage is intensified for many of us, since we naturally passed this poor nutritional &#34;advice&#34; along (as though gospel) to our thousands (millions?) of patients over many years and decades.&#xA;&#xA;In our attempts to heal our patients, we unwittingly made them sicker.&#xA;&#xA;5+ years ago, I would have scoffed at any post, book, or show that touted the obvious benefits a #carnivore or #ketogenic diet.&#xA;&#xA;But I have since learned that the standard American--primarily sugar/carbohydrate-based--diet is actually the root cause of many of our most life-altering and expensive medical conditions, like atherosclerosis, certain cancers, and autoimmune disorders.</html></oembed>
