People simply don't believe you. So it is on you to build the thing and bring the demand, and if you believe in it take developers rewards from the fees if you want. Some people believe in Ark so they build Ark, some believe in Rollups with privacy so they build it on Citrea or whatever, some think there is a demand for tornado cash, so they port it on Rootstock.
