After having my X account suspended for two weeks — simply for posting two long DMs — I saw something with fresh eyes: Nostr isn’t just a protocol. It’s a lifeline. It’s freedom, rebuilt from the ground up. No gatekeepers, no shadowbans, no arbitrary rules enforced by faceless mods doing the bidding of governments or advertisers. That’s when it hit me: I’m now a Nostr maxi. There is no second best. I used to appreciate Nostr. Now I understand it. I’ve felt what censorship really is — and I’ve seen how fast it can happen to voices that refuse to conform. You don’t realize how fragile your voice is until someone else has the power to mute it. Nostr changes that. Permanently. So to all the OGs in this space — those who’ve been building, relaying, coding, writing, zapping, and defending freedom before I fully woke up — thank you.
