They are taxes that raise revenue the same as the other taxes but they unavoidably benefit the workers of America who will see additional jobs and local value-add industry creation. All things being equal, less taxes is better but after 50 years of globalism and hollowing out of America's middle class and middle fly-over country, I'm into taxes that benefit America against a world of nationalist populists who took advantage of the US in globalism's name to benefit their own workers and industry. This game exists, we need to play it instead of pretending we're above it to our own disadvantage.
