The use case is when a POTENTIAL user (brand new to Nostr) visits a Nostr client and wants to “sign up”. A client could REQUEST key generation from (sending the user to) a remote app, and be notified of the new pubkey (upon key generation) to complete the onboarding process back in the client. Such a use case would require ZERO INSTALL and REDIRECT back to the requesting client. With a remote key generation flow such as this, social clients can reduce their exposure to KYC laws, by not EVER being part of account creation process.
