I&#39;ve got a used S19 on the way so was a bit worried about dropping it into oil so planning on using a hydro conversion kit instead.&#xA;&#xA;We just had solar PV fitted with a battery but the heating system uses a gas combi for radiators and the HW tank so we can&#39;t easily dump excess solar into the HW tank. Not sure how much that would save anyway if there&#39;s little demand at peak solar.&#xA;&#xA;I figured that a buffer tank is just an extra battery but way cheaper than an electric one. So hopefully we can run the miner when we&#39;re getting excess solar and use the cheap rate at night to &#34;charge&#34; the buffer tank. When there&#39;s demand for heating/HW the buffer tank can help the combi and save on gas.&#xA;&#xA;Thanks for the link, there&#39;s a rabbit hole for me to go down on SN!</html></oembed>
