If his proposal is accepted, the only thing that needs to change in the future for btc to be used as currency is a tax policy change. It’s easy to imagine this in 20-30 years. But you go in demanding it be a currency now, all of a sudden it’s a competitor to the $ and guns come out like we are Iraq trying to sell oil in Euros.
