I assure you it's not. Inequality is inevitable and unavoidable. Prioritizing equality as the highest virtue shows a level of understanding of how the world works that is borderline childish. People differ in their ability, intelligence, work ethic, interests, inclinations, priorities, output as well as every other measurable metric. You can engineer a society to flatten all of these out a much as possible and it turns out that people end up naturally diverging on their own, especially down the gender divide. See Scandinavia.
