We have plenty of family in the area but I don’t want to just abandon ship. Fixed the chicken coop to get them out of the wind. Ran the fireplace all day to keep some heat in the house. Ended up only getting down to 58° so it wasn’t too bad. All in all, we need to be better prepared for the cold. We are 100% electric so a backup generator would be ideal. Maybe some batteries for the solar system will help as well. Although times like this suck, it’s a good test o see how truly prepared we actually are. #prep #grownostr #cold
