Yes, it&#39;s just a word, but words absolutely matter. I&#39;ve never understood the view that they don&#39;t. Especially given all the history and research and just the existence of humanity that suggests otherwise. Giving it a different name absolutely conveys information, otherwise the other word wouldn&#39;t exist. This issue is exactly why words matter so much. The intent wasn&#39;t originally bad, but the ability to misuse it was always there the moment people gave validity to the idea that installing software they want to is &#34;sideloading&#34;. That&#39;s why I think it&#39;s important to recognize this, learn from it, and avoid it in the future.&#xA;&#xA;I am not side loading. I&#39;m installing software on MY device.</html></oembed>
