My daughter is friends with one of theirs, they are part of the local community, but they can't find a rental. My wife, who's still on fb, showed me a post in which they were begging for a rental, as theirs is not being extended and they just can't find another place. There just aren't enough available properties anywhere. I'd like to offer part of our house, bedroom, bathroom and lounge, that are separate, to them. But, it's not enough space for four, they'd say no and my wife would say hell no. My wife and I bought our house only months before the real sky-rocketing house prices here in Australia and we're grateful for that. A year later and we would be in the same situation, renting, being evicted, searching unsuccessfully, homeles, maybe. It really feels like everything is now really tangibly falling apart, I hear these stories every day now, crime is going up, buying power is going down. I'm an optimist, by force of will, but I can see hard times coming. Prepare yourselves, no one is coming to save any of us, but our friends. #Collapse #community #grownostr
