If done properly, you will simply forget that you are there and experience things directly. To be thankful, to be with others, to experience joy and beauty, without ever thinking &#34;what would others say about me&#34; or &#34;well I&#39;m better than that&#34; or any of the other intrusive thoughts about one&#39;s peers - it&#39;s a wonderful thing. &#xA;&#xA;I see people sometimes talk about &#34;giving up control&#34; but that&#39;s not it exactly. You still know right and wrong, and you still make decisions, and you&#39;re still you, you just don&#39;t think about it and what flows naturally from you is the best of yourself.&#xA;&#xA;Case in point; I just called my parents early for 4th of July, and had the best conversation I may have ever had with them because I managed to be self-forgetful in that way.
