If it was a single person doing both, I agree, that's a contradictory thing to do and would be pretty stupid. But it's not.  There's multiple large bureaucracies (including the CIA) involved doing things that may or may not make sense to outsiders.  Until you start treating the US government as being made up of multiple groups with multiple interests you will continue to not understand why it acts the way it does.\n\n\u003e This conversation isn’t really going anywhere you trust governments I don’t we won’t change our stances on this I think bitcoin needs to be protected from giving governments a reason to ban it is all. it doesn’t have to be bip110 but something needs to be done temporarily while in it’s adoption that’s just my opinion.\n\n\"it's adoption\"\nis meaningless.
