It's called the \"generational contract\" - where one generation pays for the retirement of the previous generation with their contributions to social security and pension insurance.\n\nTelling pensioners in Germany to return to work to make a living basically translates to a breach of the generational contract and it also means that the current generation wont receive the same form of retirement the current generation has received. There has been already comments - also from Mertz - that Germans shouldn't rely on their  \"statutory pension provision\" any more but take steps to also have a private, non-mandatory pension plan. In other words the current generation is contributing to something that doesn't exist any more and from which they wont benefit in the future.\n\nLet that sink in for a minute and then ask yourself why am I still paying taxes?\n\nnostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqmn477tj8972x227pax2p77xawwv0xlgtwha644ax7pzpj5wae6wqy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejz7qpqcp3upvk6qhxk62drw03duw75z6t3a58wqagzpre6at62p9gsc2wqef8tjf"}
