That allows us to use switchroot() instead of kexec(). But I don't know if we can do that on the apple platforms yet (I haven't looked in to it), so we may be stuck with a legacy loader or possibly a much smaller loader to do kernel selection and nothing else on these platforms. In general we're going to wind up with slightly platform specific implementations, no way around it."}
