The insurance for the car is for sure more expensive.   Insurance would cover yhe repairs.\n\nDrive train and battery have an 8 year 120K mile warranty.\n\nCharging at home is roughly 2/3 the cost of what we spent on gas for a VW golf prior.  Both cars are fairly new so no other repairs to talk about, but no oil changes, transmission fluid, spark plugs, etc.  \n\nCost of ownership appears to be cheaper, tho like I said insurance is more expensive.  \n"}
