You also don't have to stay locked into one church or another. You are even free to fork off and create your own branch or denomination. That does not negate the premise of OP's question whatsoever.\n\nIf you believed in Christ you could still have perfectly normal relationships with \"gays and prostitutes\" including being compassionate, the same way you are to any other person who are all sinners, another definition is just \"people who have fallen short of the mark\".\n\nIf you believed, Sundays in church would bring you joy.\n\nIf you believed, the rituals would not be pointless to you.
