You are in 99.99% if circumstances making a gigantic mistake. \n\nChildren make life worth living. \n\nChildren provide instant meaning to life.\n\nThey inspire planning and care about the future.\n\nThey increase joy.\n\nThey make life novel and exciting again.\n\nThey’re innovative, surprising and imaginative. \n\nThey reflexively shape us as we attempt to shape them into better versions of themselves/ourselves.\n\nIf you have children and they have children you will be increasingly surrounded by life as you grow old.\n\nIf you do not, you will be surrounded by death as everyone you know slowly dies.\n\nYou will never regret having kids. \n\nYou will certainly regret not having them.\n\nIf you have kids you are honoring the sacrifice and suffering your ancestors had to endure by passing the torch forward.\n\nIf you do not you are dishonoring them by wasting your life on the meaningless pursuit of your own pleasure. \n\nThese are very strongly held immutable beliefs for me."}
