It uses 2x as many tokens so you know it’s just gotta be better.
Funny, almost posted about that yesterday out of the blue

Kinda an odd alternative option, but have to agree if those are the two available
Fable is fast, but it’s too early to tell how much better it is. Back to the kitchen, got some more cookin’ to do.
You're right, of course.
Everywhere else, recipients of value are the majority funders of the value delivered to them; when your electrician fixes your wiring, you pay him for it. Some portion of his current place in the industry and education level was socialized out a bit, but it's a rounding error compared to the direct payments.
But because software can be built once and used by many people, nobody feels that they need to be The One to pay for it. And they're not wrong in that... If it can be copied, it can't be owned; and if it can't be owned, its value drops considerably to the marginal enjoyment or utility it brings you _while using it_.
...So maybe what we're uncovering is that for all the hype and glitter, we actually don't **really** find the current crop of internet/software THAT valuable nor truly enjoyable. It's a bit of a fun goof here and there.
I do believe that'll change as the synergistic effects of open protocol pieces working together starts to yield truly society-altering experiences.
That's what I'm interested in.

We asked for feedback earlier this week.
And received it in a proper reply within some hours.
No system is sustainable unless its participants are virtuous and themselves self-sustaining
Who's gonna do a nostr world cup streaming service then?
The euros was kinda fun, no?

I need a new car. My car is the size of a tuna can and I don't like driving on the freeway.
Not entirely the same though for this current batch of nostr early adopters. Probably a large number of people around here are running StartOS for example and can click a few buttons to get up and running. And it's only going to get easier. I get that, particularly with Primal, there are a lot of very very non-technical people, but among the bitcoiner-running-a-node types, there's little excuse. I'm speaking more about them.

But how do I build a better Gigi 🤔
Блокчейн — это Google Таблица, которую никто не может закрыть. Однажды, когда я пытался закрыть свою таблицу, она просто разделилась на миллион маленьких таблиц и продолжала работать. Это не баг, это фича.

If you think something sucks build a better alternative. More competition, less chronic complaining.
If laughter is the best medicine, and you make someone laugh, does that mean you’re a doctor or an illegal drug dealer?
Ahh, I see what you're doing now. Yeah, it's just too easy for some of us, no sense in bragging about what others waste years on, only to fall short
I run multiple, but all of them have a list with npubs who may use it.
I already had a CSAM isp issue when I was at holiday so I had to enable some form of access restriction… 🤓

Therefore, noshole could likely get first place in your neck of the woods! Impressive
Sounds like someone should start a https://grantless.org project for "nostr marketing and legal/financial advice". A nostr incubator, basically.

For my part, I appreciate the warning call the UK/EU gives us with regards to censorship: it gives us time to prepare for their fresh new madness, as it inevitably crosses the Atlantic.

The money doesn't (necessarily) go to the person running/requesting the project, but to an "arbiter" role who judges the work and refunds the "donators" if the team doesn't deliver properly. The Patron (project author), Arbiter and Worker "should be" different people, but there's nothing at the protocol level stopping the same npub from occupying multiple of those roles.
Technically, not only is is not different from zap goals - it actually uses them under the hood. https://catallax.network #catallax is a meta-protocol that integrates zap goals into a slightly richer experience - and the clients i'm working on integrate WoT and Dlists to add a curation layer I haven't yet seen with zap goals. https://grantless.org is just an opinionated client on top of catallax.
You can do #catallax tasks as a single-fund or a crowdfund - the latter of which is better suited for #grantless.
