Last Notes
I've been fascinated by OpenSats for a while now. It's unlike any other software grant org. It funds mostly "ideas", not foundational things. Is this because nostr has no foundation? It has no, long running projects or software?
The apache project, was bootstrapped from nothing with no funds, for 2 YEARS before the apache foundation was created to fund APACHE. Not to fund, whatever people's ideas were about apache and web serving.
Same for other free software foundations, there was always a central thing to fund, a single piece of software.
So anyway, that just means, OpenSats is the first non-profit of it's kind that I've seen, that is an incubator of *potential software. And to make matters more weird, it specifically will NOT fund projects that are long running..
If this plan had worked, nostr would not have churned it's entire user base multiple times, and yet, it feels like we're just starting out like it's 2023 again. This is largely in part to grants finally expiring, IMHO. So, we get to try again, and I'm here for it!
Decentralized funding (but NOT new non-profits), non-orgs, die-hard fans, internet-refugees, services that stubbornly refuse to die. That's what we have to bootstrap this next era of nostr.

I really belief than more people lead by example, act in good faight, define their own goals and make them count, the more free our world is. These principles can be followed everywhere. Nobody needs to give me anything to follow them.
Lets be thankful for what we have, strengthen ourself.
Lets use our time and energy for what we really want. Anarchism is here. In the present and everywhere, when we start to see it.

Politics rarely care about some niche society. Nostr is kind of like growing your own food at home. Nothing revolutional. But powerful while not seeming to be so.

I take it as a sign that Nostr is a true innovation and a new kind of internet. Legacy software industry and platform tactics were mostly proven to be ineffective on a truly decentralized network. And unlike Bitcoin, there's no monetary value to events that can justify a centralized "Nostr" company nor any way to inject yourself as a middleman to economic activity on it.

Bad programmers existed at every stage. Each level just adds more bad programmers to the population.
My beef isn't with the tech. It's with the devs. Always has been.
I've been telling developers they're garbage from before vibe coding was a thing. Now they're just more garbage.

I've jaded my kids. We hate crowds. We go early and during the week to ANYTHING. I have no problem pulling them from school for a few days for an adventure.
They've never been remotely interested in Disney world or cared much roller coasters, though they have ridden 2.
We do cave tours and museums and hot springs instead of theme parks. Lol
