The projects explore very immediate, poetic, and humorous forms of resistance, refusal, and subversion that push back against tech fascism.

Condensed into scores, manuals and how-to’s, the 13 works create a frameworks for action. They address everyday shifts or propose strategies meant to be shared, repeated, and adapted by others. Rather than demanding compliance, these instructions invite participation, interpretation, and refusal.

Disabling redundant core blocks is not possible because:
* with PHP is not allowed through allowed_blocks_type_all because *core blocks*;
* with CSS (display: none; and hooking on admin_init) because the only possible selector for a block is a randomly-generated ID via JS at page load.

If you are someone who simply wants to configure their site with a theme and a few plugins, the docs can be too broad when answering specific questions for such rather minimalist use case.

Also, a lot of configuring is done in htaccess, which is not exactly a WP thing.

Skeptically try it out and if it feels like you're getting into a rabbit hole, move on to another CMS/tool.

After all, if you have a simple task, you're probably better-off with a simple tool.

It's also worth considering what workflow you would like. Blocks vs TinyMce. Posting by email is nicely implemented through a plugin, but you might be better-off with Markdown files and a static site generator. Etc.

On the other hand, if you go for "classic themes" be prepared to face some poorly written themes in the top few, by pooularity. Haven't checked beyond.

As someone with WP for about 20 years, the project feels in a weird place right now, for said reasons.

So keep in mind it might, but not neccesarily, force you to deal with weird issues down the road.

For a site of this kind, WordPress can be easy to setup (esp for checking it out), just be warned that customization can bring-in unnecessary complexity, and I'm saying it as a web dev. Newer, block-enabled themes can be a bit unituitive to change. After messing with such for the past few months, I'd even say the whole "block theme" and page-builder experience is functions like an early beta, at best. However, intentionally or not, the ...
