But if you allow yourself to be led primarily by a part of you that believes there are metaphysical reasons to neglect and even destroy the peace relations in physical, social space, then your essentialist construal of reality is getting in the way of the sense perception your body uses and needs to survive. There comes a point when the popularity of essentialist ideas becomes dangerous to the survival of our species, and when rejecting it, we have to make clear that this is the first and only relevant reason why we object to its dominance.
