Strikes Twice debuted a split payment technology meant to inspire a wide range of lightning use cases.

I created the plugin w/ @fiatjaf and demonstrated it via a DJ set wherein listeners sent sats via QR if they liked a track. The sats were auto-split 10% to me for playing the track & 90% to the producer for creating it. Some producers also opted to have their music downloadable if a certain payment threshold was met.

I created the project because the digital economy is broken for musicians. Royalties from streaming services aren't sustainable for producers. And oftentimes platforms use bots that arbitrarily shutdown livestreams for perceived copyright violation. If the music isn’t heard, nobody wins. I envision a future where split payments upend these antiquated models with new revenue streams for all parties involved.

The image on the left shows the digital preparation; the image on the right shows the physical result.
I love lines, a clear structure, and I usually stay thematically focused on Bitcoin.
First, a raw layout is created on paper, then CAD. I define where gold will be used (chemically and electronically etched), what will appear in white (silkscreen technology), what is copper and what will be covered in black (solder mask). I use stencils, masks, tapes, CNC milling.
The manufacturing process is the same as that of a computer motherboard -> partly machine-based, partly handcrafted.
I merge technology with art.

The composition is built on contrast. Black represents chaos, uncertainty, and the noise of legacy systems. White signals neutrality, consensus, and the shared rules that make coordination possible. "4 Years ago I created the first CoinJoin panel for block 700 000. My enthusiasm for this new world that Bitcoin was revealing to me was overwhelming.

At the time, my introduction to this new series of panels I started read like this:
"As an artist who spreads the word about the technology, I want to follow as much as I can the path and the values that BITCOIN gives us, so I decided to “link” my CoinJoin panels to the Bitcoin blockchain, and produce a panel just like the block is produced on the network. The first linked panel was created on block number 700 000. The top layer of every 100 000 block panel will be made of 23 carat gold. Currently my CoinJoin panels are produced every 5000 blocks."
