Had to go for my first meeting for my fake teeth... I don&#39;t know the English terms for this... mes deux prothèses / partiels, faire faire les empreintes pour couler les moules.<br/><br/>It was early in the morning, 8 AM, traveled via public transport, and it&#39;s on the south shore (CÉGEP Édouard-Montpetit) so didn&#39;t have time to have my coffee or breakfast. The student who has my file and will see me through the whole fitting process. It took maybe 90 minutes in all, nearly two hours. Adèle was with me. When I came out she was in a bad state. We had to take a taxi to get back and go to the ER at the hospital next door from where we live. <br/><br/>We got there at 10h30 AM and we came out of the ER at 18h30. God I hate the ER. You wait for ever. I had to stay close to her, she had a swollen leg (below the knee) and was feeling a lot of pain when she tried to walk. So I didn&#39;t have a chance to eat or grab coffee, got a huge headache from coffee withdrawal: the vending machines were useless at the ER, they couldn&#39;t handle debit cards/didn&#39;t connect. <br/><br/>They did a blood test on her, ran a scan on her leg. During all this waiting time, she searched the web for the symptoms and she was worried she had phlebitis because of all the meds and precautions you have to take, plus she will be going to China for three weeks for a tai chi thing later this fall.<br/><br/>Turns out she had a ruptured Baker cyst but she has to be extra careful because it can turn into phlebitis. So made sure once this stupid day was over with she was comfortable at home and went to my home afterwards. The author is Grace Parkes, and I&#39;ve read quite a few of her books (with books, you never know if the author is truly a woman or a male) and the writing is so uneven, some books are written in a very awkward manner, typos, sentences turned in a way someone who does not master totally the English language would write and I do not finish them, I&#39;m either bored with the storyline, bland characters or embarrassed by the quality. In fact it&#39;s so uneven, not sure if it&#39;s not an umbrella author name for AI authors to practice or if it&#39;s what I call an author farm where newbies are trying out their hand at writing to see how it goes or something. Anywho.<br/><br/>It&#39;s labelled as being an ice queen novel/romance, but this one has a twist. The writing style is creative, unusual and very nimble, I love the images the sentences generate in my mind and I&#39;ve never seen this writing style before. <br/><br/>Anyway, the book is part of the L.A. Ice Queens series, the book is the third one in the series, Her Surrender. As an example, the first one in the series, I coud not finish and put it in the doghouse.
