If I want to unlock my phone, I'll just touch the fingerprint reader with my pointer finger and the phone is unlocked. If I wanted to say interact with a running media file, or check the time, I would deliberately press the power button with my middle finger, that way it registers it as a press to bring up the lock screen, but does not unlock the phone. And then, when I want into the phone next time, I would touch the fingerprint reader with my pointer finger to unlock it. If I am picking my phone up off of a table, for example, and my ring finger just happens to touch the fingerprint reader, it's obviously not going to recognize, and then once I get the phone in my hand properly, I would use my pointer finger to unlock it.

This is why I think perhaps a three-time rule might work, where if you deliberately touch the fingerprint reader three times within a short period of time with the incorrect finger, it would initiate a wipe.

I'm thinking maybe like within 10 seconds.

As a blind screen reader user myself, thank you.

I do have one question, though. I noticed that you were doing taps on the screen in order to see what element was underneath it. What happens if you do a flick from, say, left to right or right to left, as that is how a lot of screen reader users navigate?

The way it works on other operating systems is that a quick flick to the right or left will read the next element or the previous element on the screen.

Edit: This just took Linux Mobile from a "maybe one day I can use this" to a "i could use this now" thing.

I've been thinking about making my next phone a post-market OS device, and now that desire just increased exponentially, thanks to this post.

I'm doing my best to continue using Firefox, but it's becoming incredibly annoying, and I'm seriously at my wit's end and just about to give up on it permanently.

I've noticed during video calls it causes my computer to completely freeze up and require a reboot sometimes.

And on my phone, sometimes when I'm reading, it will just make my screen completely stop responding to me and I have to force reboot my phone in order to fix it.

I know that Gecko is the only other web engine option to fight Chromium's Blink, but I'm seriously just about fed up enough with Firefox to say fuck it.

Servo or ladybird may be the only real hope left.
