I have one tip and one don’t-do. The tip is in the attached picture. The don’t-do is: never ever use the “graph” option, never post a screenshot of it on social media, never let it influence you in any way. What it reveals is absolutely irrelevant to proper knowledge management.

Man I love #Kodi. Something as simple as the backup/restore plugin allows you to instantly configure a new instance (on a smart TV or #Firestick) with your entire config, shared folders, addins etc. And it’s the best media interface I’ve ever used - significantly better than #Infuse on iOS/TVOS, not to mention *completely free*. You can even install #Plex within it, and it’s Plex implementation is actually better than standalone Plex; which itself is ten times better than #Jellyfin.

It does. Calendar (including syncing with Google Calendar), pomodoro, Eisenhower matrix, tags, kanban view, task assignment, multiple people can share a list and all of this is on their free plan. One of my favourite features is the natural language date parsing, write “buy milk and eggs tomorrow at 2pm” and an entry “buy milk and eggs” is created and the reminder is set for tomorrow 2pm. You can also have default reminder times eg 30 min before as well as at the actual time.

Obsidian absolutely is not the right place for reminders/notifications. And in fact, tasks - despite the Tasks plugin being really neat. There *is* a reminder plugin - https://github.com/uphy/obsidian-reminder - but it only fires when the app is actually running.

You’re better off using an app actually designed for todos and reminders/notifications, like #TickTick.
