So sparc64 is officially a base-clang architecture now. The first bulk as such is just under 2 hours in.

If you ask "base-clang? What?" - OpenBSD has two types of architectures. Those where cc is the old gcc, and those where cc is clang. After a lot of work by kirill@, sparc64 has switched to using clang by default.

I've got thoughts about the abusiveness of the university system that are not fully formed. Even the invasion of late stage capitalism into higher education is not the source of the abuse the system is built upon. I do think the abuse's existence inherent in that system is why late stage capitalism has found higher education so comfortable though.

Lucky left us some time in the last several hours.

The past couple days he had been less active and was moving clumsily yesterday. I raised the temperature in the house and he was moving better but still not his usual self.

We had a good 14 months with him, which is quite good for a wild mouse that was a runt. He was such a happy mouse. He loved his wheel. He loved his puffs and getting me to keep giving him them.

I'm going to miss him a lot.

Lucky had switched to stashing a lot of food. The hammock went from sleep place to stash house. (He built a nest behind the ramp down to the bottom floor of the cage).

I noticed the kibble had gotten down to where one could see the bottom of the dish, so I filled it back up. Probably too much. Lucky immediately started stashing it and by morning more than half was buried in the right front corner of the cage along with nest material covering it further.

Well, now the food dish seems to be for food deliveries and not keeping it there. Today his food dish had been emptied so I Cleaned it and put some more in there. Then had dinner with Pamela and when I checked again the dish was completely emptied with a bunch of kibble in the right front.
