Das entspricht auch meinem Verständnis des Ablaufs. Sicher kann man an mehreren Stellen Einfluss nehmen, noch bis kurz vor der Überstellung.

Im Sinne der Gesichtswahrung wäre für Merz aber vermutlich schon "game over", wenn die Staatsanwaltschaft tatsächlich bei Fahndungsmaßnahmen angelangt ist, und er (oder "Freunde") dafür sorgen müssten, dass daraus nichts wird und Netanjahu nicht auffindbar bleibt.

Das wird er verhindern wollen. Dreh- und Angelpunkt wäre m.E. daher immer noch, ob die Überstellungsunterlagen aus Den Haag eintreffen (könnten ja "verloren" gegangen, oder "auf der Poststelle liegen geblieben" sein) und überprüft werden (kann ja "etwas dauern"…).

Interessante Weise könnte Netanjahu auch bereits ohne diese Papierarbeit aus Den Haag in Überstellungshaft genommen werden (§11 (2) IStGHG), aber auch wenn die Voraussetzungen dafür bei Netanjahu ausgesprochen passend erscheinen, müsste das natürlich erst mal "geprüft" werden…

Bisher habe ich noch keine Ausführungen von Jurist*innen zu solchen Kontexten entdeckt, vermutlich kam bisher aber auch niemand auf die Idee, mutmaßliche Kriegsverbrecher auf einen Kaffee nach Deutschland einzuladen.

As of today, this affects 23 designated Very Large Online Platforms (#VLOPs).

Was Du mir über deren Status als wohlhabend oder nicht damit mitteilen möchtest, ist mir nicht ersichtlich.

Der Konsens, den Du nicht sehen möchtest, steht explizit im Zitat: »Es spricht nichts dagegen, wenn wohlhabende Asylsuchende selbst für ihre Versorgung aufkommen«

Sie setzt ihr "wohlhabend" in direkten Kontrast zu "mittellos", und dieser Kontrast ist nicht "narrativ", sondern ganz handfest und pauschalisierend.

Der Konsens, in Klartext: Asylsuchende haben Du mittellos oder hochverschuldet zu sein, dann ist das ok. Der Unterschied liegt je nach Partei allein darin, wie viel man Asylsuchenden abknöpfen sollte, damit sie diesen akzeptablen Status verdienen.

Zu wem das gesagt wurde, spielt für solche Aussagen keinerlei Rolle. Ich habe kritisiert, dass sie hier mit dem Klischee von "reich" spielt, und das begründet.

Das wiederhole ich auch gerne nochmal: Du bist nicht "reich", wenn Du Schmuck und Wertgegenstände auf Deine Flucht mitnimmst. In genau derselben Weise nicht, als wenn Du seit Jahrzehnten in Deiner eigenen Wohnung wohnst, die sich heute zufällig in bester Lage befindet.

Die Option, Deinen angeblichen "Wohlstand" zu Geld zu machen und davon zu leben, haben beide in derselben Weise nicht, denn sie würden damit ihre Altersvorsorge verbrennen.

Wer nur "mittellos" oder "wohlhabend" kennt und nennt, möchte eben auch nicht weiter differenzieren.

Hier ein Musterbeispiel, in dem nicht nur Friedrich #Merz brilliert, sondern auch die Moderatorin, als sie fragt "niemand weiß auch so richtig, wie diese Staatsräson, In welchem Verhältnis die steht zu anderen wichtigen Werten, zum Beispiel der Einhaltung des internationalen Rechts".

Wir erfahren dann, dass die Vertragstreue zum Römischen Statut für Merz "unvorstellbar" ist, "deswegen werden wir nach Wegen suchen müssen, dass wir das abwenden", also wie wir mutmaßliche Kriegsverbrecher einladen und beim Besuch dann nicht verhaften.

The law does not specify what "reasonable steps" are, but has provisions for punishment when they're not "reasonable" enough (63D), or when the related #PII isn't properly handled (63F). Hence, it's not going to be a mere date field for entering your birthday.

Which is a godsend for corporate social media: no more lack of assurance who opened an account, but verifiable identities instead, plus the benefit of saying: hey, it's not us, it's the law requiring it.

Since 77% of Australians allegedly approve of the ban, I wonder what they'll say when they're asked to upload their driver license, photo card or passport to have their age "verified", before they can continue using their social media accounts.

Some suggestions I can offer, although they may not be overly helpful:

Create at least one backup account on a different server, and have the accounts mention each other in their bio.

Refer to other profiles you maintain, on totally different platforms, but do not just post links to what you publish there. Many on the Fediverse can't see what is posted on closed platforms, and will not create an account there for following you.

If others from your (physical) neighborhood in Palestine are on the Fediverse, too, mutually refer to each other in your posts.

If friends or relatives live abroad and are on social media, mention their accounts in your posts and if you can, ask them to mention your accounts on theirs.

Stay consistent and recognizable on photos and in videos. Never use photos of strangers, or "symbolic" photos to make your point.

Talk specifically about what you're seeing and enduring around you, rather than just posting generic thoughts.

Saddest posting ideas I can offer:

It's hard to build trust posting calls for donations only. It's in the nature of humankind that even given a hell like Gaza right now, there are evil people trying to scam others with stolen photos and fraudulent calls for donation that your audience feels unable to tell apart from your genuine, truthful posts stating what your family members need to survive.

If you're posting a series of donation calls-to-action only, it might be truly about what you need most right now, but also, sadly, what gets you blocked or muted quickly.

With most of the infrastructure in Gaza destroyed, mobile phone accounts in the shape of #eSIMs [*] are one of the last remaining means to communicate. They log into neighboring Egypt and Israeli mobile networks, wherever possible (mostly in the South of Gaza).

I'd be interested in your definition of "control", it seems it might be different from mine.

My definition of "control" here includes, e.g.:<li>I'm free to use the wallet, or stay analog, for all time to come, when I become ill, old or poor</li><li>I can have multiple wallets, also for made-up identities, and use them in context-dependent manners, to protect my privacy and anonymity</li><li>I can block the creation (or at the very least demand deletion) of transaction logs, at any point in time</li>

etc.

At the moment, I just see different approaches to denying me these and other means of control, by both types of adversaries.
