I saw someone else describing using a separate set of AIs for the different tasks; they basically built a team; some writing a spec, some reviewing it, some managing the tasks and some coders, with some code reviewers etc - but they didn't have the formalisms.
Whether stuff will come back to be run locally as opposed to in a cloud is difficult to say; generally in computers there's a cyclic nature of whether stuff is remote or local (see Sutherland's wheel of reincarnation)

(I bought 2nd hand ECC server ram from a refurb company about a year ago; with ECC I'm less bothered about buying 2nd hand)

'labplot' is actually interesting now I've got it working; it's easily able to interactively plot a large graph with no trouble and interactively fiddle with it. It's also got a 'computational notebook' which I'd heard of but never played with before; it's quite neat - in the Python shell, creating any numpy variable appears in the GUI and then it looks like you can apply any of the graphing/analysis things to it.

The thing with Diode matrixes is you could make them yourself - here's one my dad made probably in the late 70's, holding morse code for his callsign and common phrases (probably a CQ etc) - I've not decoded it yet.
