Recruitment is a perfect example of woke in action. Woke makes demands of organisations it infests, so the organisation can no longer do the job it was set up to do but must do woke instead.
So woke tells us that DEI is king. All work places must employ an exact replica of society. Quotas are essential. Any deviation from this is evidence of systemic -isms. Now organisations cannot consider qualifications, aptitude, merit, experience. It becomes a tick box exercise in Pokemon collection.
This is stupid in any line of work, but it is a monumental disaster for jobs like policing.
In an ideal world, policing should be an esteemed role. Only the very best of the best should even be considered. The job involves putting themselves on the line daily. Upholding the law without fear or favour. Having integrity. Respecting the people they serve. And the penalties for corruption should be severe, because of the dangers of loss of trust.
Now we have let's employ people who match our *special protected characteristics* above all else, so the likelihood of any of those employed being able to do the job even adequately is automatically diminished, because being qualified is no longer the primary factor in recruitment.
Every single day we see that those in charge of important things cannot do their jobs. Not even close. Heads really do need to roll.

I was in my local Asda with my parents a few months back. I mentioned to the cashier that I wasn't a fan of this tech. I didn't do it in a nasty way, because it's neither his fault or responsibility. During the check out, we put through some wine and my mum did her usual joke about him needing to see some ID to check she was old enough. The cashier then got a bit pissy and said *now you like digital ID?* or words to that effect. It's interesting how people conflate issues. I happen to agree with showing ID to protect minors from making some purchases. That's not the same as monitoring all of us to see that we're being good boys and girls.
I had a similar one in Lidl's. I was asked if I had a store card and I said my usual that I didn't because they're just spying apps to collect data. Again, I don't do it rudely because the cashiers are just doing their job. A chap in the queue behind me shouted at me that the government knows what we're doing all the time if we have a mobile phone, so why was I bothering (ie I should just get with the programme).

It is possible to register children as home educated in England; don't know if that's the case in Scotland. I know a few home-schoolers (I do a bit of private tutoring for some) and they're glad their kids are out of the system.

The NHS *requires* DIE because it creates bureaucracies to employ the managers produced by elite overproduction. Their job will never be done because they would lose their jobs, so the goalposts must constantly shift to expand their power base.

Agreed. I liked the part where Goering said that had Germany won, the US would be on trial for Hiroshima. The show trial element was well-portrayed. The attention to period detail was good and the whole film had a colourless tint that was effective. I also liked the interaction between Kelly and Goering's family.
The journalist was a weak point and was possibly a plot hole; would she have been allowed access to the executions after writing an article that made the US look bad?

It's also a good example of how citizens and governments are conflated.
Governments use taxation (in theory) to make collective spending decisions for the good of the people who provide the money. In practice they use it to further their goals of global domination which benefit them personally. They then *blame* the citizens for government actions and use taxes to *punish* their citizens for said government actions.
So for example, if the government bombs the shit out of a country because - reasons- (war on terror/drugs/whatever) then it ensures (through the presstitutes) that the citizens are seen as morally culpable (because they elected the government, right?) and therefore the *aid* sent abroad is a form of plenary indulgence/humanitarian support and the price you pay for the privilege of being able to bomb the shit out of places, because . . .reasons. This also includes the deliberate influx of migrants (some of which have had the shit bombed out of their country) but many who haven't - if your country hadn't behaved badly then they wouldn't be here, but also they should be here because . . reasons.
It's a rigged game and the only way to win is to refuse to play.
Stop voting for these criminals (and they're all criminals).
Stop paying taxes (they can't fund this shit without your money).

We did take the aerial tramway to the top of San Jacinto and the views were wonderful. We also drove up to Idyllwild and down to the other side to Banning coming back to Palm Springs through the valley past the windmills. I shall add these recommendations for next time.
