It is more of a process of self development, integration of your multiplicity of subjectivities, and a method to become more fully alive.<br/><br/>I am a therapist and the vast majority of the people i see do not have any mental illness. They are just garden variety neurotics like myself. <br/><br/>Besides, symptoms of psychopathology is just the organic self/soul calling to be heard. <br/><br/>There really are people who are skilled in helping the organic self be heard and integrated (brought in from the shadows) and thus growing your range of aliveness. <br/><br/>Why do all of that ? growing ones ability to be alive is arguably our responsibility/a privilege once we have food and shelter covered. <br/><br/>And if you are a parent - we need to grow our ability to be alive to model it for our kids. <br/><br/>That’s what I do- help people grow their ability to be more connected to self and other. When I tried to buy some in 2012, I needed to get off the couch to get my ID and verify my identity. That was too big an ask, so I didn&#39;t buy any.
