Okay, this would actually be pretty #funny, if it wasn't #tragic.

I installed GrapheneOS (npub1kwa…e0nj) on my #Pixel 8. All runs good, installed sandboxed #Google Play Services. All my 4 banking apps work good, my government app for my ID and driver's license works as expected.

There's one app that refuses to work - #McDonalds app. For some God forsaken reason, MCD app has stronger and higher #security requirements than basically any #bank or #government application.

This is hilarious...

      Hey there!
Anyone rocking #liquorix or #mainline kernel on #LinuxMint? Is it stable enough to use and not break anything?
I want to have these fancy new AMD performance boosts from 6.13 on my main gaming PC, but I don't want my OS to glitch out or break...

I've migrated half of my non-tech family to Mint, just saying that this is a new version of Windows. The amount of headache with accidentally downloaded malware, installing some weird programs and most importantly - the performance of older machines - this move has saved me... If someone needs a browser and an office suite, Mint is all they could ever need. Plus something like AnyDesk or TeamViewer for remote support and you're golden

The mintupgrade takes care of backing up your current system, updating everything, backing up old repository lists, adding new and upgrading your system. Nothing you couldn't do by yourself, but it's just a neat little tool, that does all the things automagically. Thanks to it my in-laws' laptop hasn't been reinstalled since Mint 20, just mintupgrade with every release

It's not like it's gonna suddenly self-destruct in a few days, like Arch liked to do :D
