This way, in a situation where a family member has recovered the setup, they could load the additional encrypted note(s) into their Coldcard and read them. Or just decrypt the note(s) on their computer by entering the BIP-85 password (BIP-85 password #5 for example).<br/><br/>## 📝 Current Implementation<br/>Currently Coldcard Q does allow for typing notes on device and encrypting them. However, exporting these in encrypted form means generating a new set of backup words. Also, if you back up the full device, not only are you given a new 12 words to protect, but if you were previously using a passphrase, now your device backup has the passphrase derived wallet as the main seed (i.e no longer passphrase protected), which is unfortunate. I’d love a way to use deterministic entropy to export encrypted secure notes (bring the note back to the coldcard and it can be decrypted only if you’re in the right wallet), but it seems that’s not currently possible. Seems to be working great. One main limitation of iOS Nostr clients is they can zap profiles, but usually not individual posts (as the former is safer from the standpoint of Apple’s terms of service and Apple not getting their massive 30% cut). ZapplePay is a really nice workaround. You still have to open Mutiny for them all to send, but, if you have them set to auto approve (up to a certain pre-set daily budget), all zaps get sent with zero clicks the next time you open your wallet. I see some relays are adding functionality through query parameters, when you add the relay, you can include your npub in the websocket address and then only see notes from people you follow and people they follow.
