My Mother kept a ball python named Ziggy for many years, he was a friendly snake and enjoyed being held and cuddled. You could always tell when he was getting hungry because his mood would change, I think we fed him two mice every two weeks or something like that. Even with a heat rock and IR lamp he would escape during the winter and I woke up with him cuddled up in bed with me a number of times.
