While I am not expert on how the western masters thought about &#34;owning&#34; music, it is clear that taking pieces and bits from other composers was just an accepted practice. Sometimes done as a compliment and sometimes as satire. <br/><br/>On a more popular level, playing other people&#39;s music was the standard in pop music for most of the 20th century. The J6 is a little disappointing, I also bought a little midi engine that I can use with midi controller (mostly so that i could make some cheesy dungeon synth). All and all, its not much but it&#39;s a start.<br/><br/>Going dawless (really semi dawless cause I need to record shit sonehow) makes me think about music differently.
