This issue has become an important feature. The constant slow dripping of the tap supplies the bird&#39;s bath with fresh water. As a result birds, mostly house sparrows, use it as their drinking spot. It is quite literally their water cooler / coffee corner &amp; you can see them chatting, eating &amp; gossiping around it.
